This is an amazing event with such a good feel to it. From Ronnie, the organiser, to all the marshals and runners there is a real community spirit. It’s a great route and very well marked with plenty of aid stations all stocked. If you are looking for a first 100 event then this would be an ideal choice.
Roger C — Robin Hood 100
“I wanted to say a big thank you for the awesome Dukeries 40. I ran it with my husband and we both really enjoyed the course, and the enthusiastic volunteers! It was our first ultra (having done marathons before) and it won't be our last! You put on a great event, all went well and we'll be recommending it and maybe come back again next year! You must have spent ages with the ribbons and pink dots - it all helped greatly although I almost missed one though, lack of concentration (my fault)! The personalised medals were a nice touch too. I’m thinking about moving up to the 100 miles but will see how the summer's training goes!”
Emma - DUKERIES 40
Robin Hood 100 was a dream come true for me. Finishing my first 100 mile run would not have been possible without the amazing volunteers and race organisers who put together such a well thought-out and clearly marked route. The course is relatively flat which makes it ideal for first timers or those chasing a PB. I’ll definitely be back in 2026. Thanks Ronnie and the Hobo team!
Ben N — Robin Hood 100
A brilliant ultra through beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. Friendly, well-organised, eco-conscious with clear and helpful communication from the event organisers in the lead up. An all-round great day. I will definitely be back at some point over the coming years!
Ellie S — Dukeries 40
This was my second time doing this race and it was just as good as the first. Ronnie and his squad of volunteers make this such a fun and friendly race, and a great introduction to ultras if you've never completed one before. If anyone is looking for their first, or even just a fun day out I would highly recommend Dukeries.
